Thomas Alwine of Brockway waived his preliminary hearing last Tuesday on charges he molested a nine year old girl.
The charges came about in August when the victim and her mother reported the assault that had occurred at Alwine’s residence. According to the charges, the girl was under the covers in a bed room with two other kids and Alwine. Alwine allegedly put his hand under the covers and touched the girl over and under her clothes.
Based on the investigation, Alwine was arraigned August 22nd and placed in the Jefferson County Jail. Following a bail hearing last Tuesday, Alwine is free, awaiting his court date.
