David Park of Brockway is facing criminal charges. According to reports, Brockway Borough Police responded to a 3rd Avenue residence for a report of a man firing rounds into the air and threatening to kill himself.
Police met with family members who said they were setting up for a yard sale when Park became upset and started swearing around the kids. Park was told to watch his mouth, but continued to be upset, so the family members decided to leave to give him some space. As they were leaving, Park came out of the house, raised a gun in the air, fired a few shots in the air before going towards a family member with the gun pointed at his head. The kids were scared and screaming and the family members left fearing for their lives.
Police approached the house and officers used a PA system to call for Parks to come out and he wouldn’t. An EMT stated they spoke with Parks and he was drunk with the weapons loaded.
Park was taken in the garage with a Hi-Point .40 caliber revolver. It was also noted that Park shot out the tires on a family member’s vehicle.
He was arraigned September 4th. His preliminary hearing is September 28th with Judge Inzana. He remains in the Jefferson County Jail.
