David Yoder of Jersey Shore has a preliminary hearing with Judge Mizerock on theft charges.
According to reports, Yoder and the 83-year-old victim in Gaskill Township became friends when they were incarcerated and Yoder lived with the victim after their release. The victim started noticing suspicious activity on his bank account and notified authorities. After investigating it was found that Yoder made ATM withdrawals totaling around $26,000, checks totaling around $5,000 and $2,000 in overdraft fees.
Yoder was only able to provide receipts for the rent during the period and couldn’t account for the rest.
He was arraigned August 9th. His hearing is next Thursday.
