Local authorities want you to know there are no human traffickers at the Clarion Walmart.
Authorities say a Facebook post by a woman named Cheryl stated that two friends of hers were targeted by human traffickers. The post was shared over 2700 times. State Police in Clarion say they received no complaints related to people being followed or suspicious characters. The hoax also causing some concern for Clarion University parents, as they have called the university police voicing their concerns.
Police say they will notify the public to any credible threat to safety through news releases and remind everyone that you can’t believe everything you read.
