Severe storms crossing the area last night caused severe damage throughout the region.
In Crawford County, a tornado touched down near an elder care facility, damaging a villa and the main facility. The residents were evacuated, and two minor injuries were reported.
The National Weather Service rated it an EF2 tornado with winds up to 115 mph and a path width of 50 yards. The length has yet to be determined.
A confirmed tornado was located near Reynoldsville around 6 pm, moving east at 35 MPH.
A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was reported around 6:20 between Brockway and Brookville and around 7:25 near Rimersburg.
Damage reports also came in from Clover Township in Jefferson County.
