A 23-yr-old Osterburg woman’s DUI and child endangerment charges have been waived to court.
Court documents show charges against Tana Shae Tew were waived to the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas last Thursday.
Punxsutawney State Police say she was driving while intoxicated on Route 119 in Young Township in early August. Troopers say they pulled her over near the ice cream stand on 119, smelled alcohol and noticed an open container. Tew was slurring her speech and she refused the sobriety test. She didn’t have a valid registration or inspection. And there was an infant child in the back seat of the car.
During a search, the police found marijuana, unspecified pills and two smoking pipes.
She was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for a blood test, which she refused.
Investigators charged her with 11 charges, including possession, DUI, and endangering.
Tew remains free on $10,000 bail, awaiting a court date.
