A Leeper man was convicted by a Clarion County jury of 79 sexual offenses on Tuesday.
According to Explore Jefferson, after the jury deliberated for about an hour and a half, they delivered their unanimous verdict to convict 56 year old David Thomas on several counts including: Rape, sexual assault and incest.
According to the Marienville State Police they received a report from Children and Youth Services on November 12, 2017 which initiated the case. Further investigation by the State Police and CYS investigators revealed that Thomas sexually assaulted the victim on numerous occasions dating back to 2006.
Thomas is scheduled to be sentenced on February 6, 2018.
