Brookville Police looked into an alleged incident of child abuse in Brookville Borough.
Officers were called to assist an aunt and uncle in getting their niece out of a house where they say another alleged case of child abuse took place.
Investigators found the father of the children was angry at a child for not putting toys away. The report states the father grabbed the child by the arm, yelled at the child and pulled the child to a back door while allegedly the father threw the toys away.
Police say he pushed the child to the ground in order to make the child pick up the toys.
The aunt and uncle say they took two other children prior to this incident next door to their house to get them away from the situation. Brookville police said charges are being filed against the father for simple assault, harassment and child endangerment. Charges are being filed in Brookville District Court.
