
A Jefferson County man was in court for resisting arrest, stemming from an incident involving a probation officer in Punxsutawney.
Court documents say, one count of second-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest was brought against 34-year old Timothy Ryan Carulli in a preliminary hearing back on December 18. The case was transferred to the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas on Friday, December 21.
According to authorities on November 21, 2018, Jefferson County Probation Officer Deshong visited Carulli at his place of work in Punxsutawney to get a urine sample from him as a condition of his probation. The complaint states after collecting the sample, Officer DeShong attempted to take Carulli into custody. The complaint states Carulli resisted the officer’s orders, however, he was eventually taken into custody.
