
A Brookville man who is accused of slashing another man’s throat at a New Bethlehem bar has a hearing date.
Court documents indicate 36-year-old Matthew Duane Atcheson of Brookville is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey Miller On January 11. Atcheson faces the five charges, including criminal attempt – murder of the first degree, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, stemming from an incident on October 28th of this year when State Police were told he had cut the throat of a man in the bar.
Atcheson remains lodged in the Clarion County Jail on $250,000.00 monetary bail.
