
A man from Jefferson County is facing felony forgery charges for alleging posing as an employee of a previous employer and purchasing items using the company’s account.
Court documents show, the Brookville Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 39 year old Daniel Alan Dawson, of Reynoldsville on December 21.
Investigators discovered that Dawson had allegedly purchased items beginning in July, through December of this year. Investigators say, Dawson used a fictitious name, claiming to be an employee of a company he no longer works for. The purchases totaled $1784.49.
Dawson was arraigned on December 21 in District Court on three charges including Forgery and Theft By Deception. Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled on January 8 with Judge Bazylak presiding.
