
State Police announced they will be out and about for the New Year’s driving period.
Pennsylvania State Police will once again focus on DUI and seat belt-related offenses during their patrols. Troopers have already made 284 DUI arrests, multiple speeding tickets and seat belt citations.

A traffic stop turned into a DUI in Clearfield County Friday night.
State Police in Punxsutawney report 52 year old Barry Pearce of Glen Campbell was stopped for a traffic violation at the 7900 block of Burnside Township.
Authorities say Pearce was under the influence of alcohol and charges are pending.

A car accident happened at an intersection on Friday when one of the drivers failed to make sure the roadway was clear.
According to the State Police in Indiana, a crash occurred on Friday morning when 47 year old Theresa Deoskey of Northern Cambria was attempting to cross over from Purchase Line Road on to Barr Slope Road and failed to notice a car driven by 46 year old Ronnette Pittsley of DuBois, and they crashed into each other.
Deoskey was charged with unlawfully crossing a roadway. No injuries were reported.
