
On Monday morning State Police in Punxsutawney responded to a two-vehicle crash.
Authorities say the crash occurred at the intersection of Walston Road and Blose Road, Young Township , Jefferson County, when a person was driving east along Chestnut Street Extension and failed to stop and was struck by another vehicle traveling south.
No injuries were reported and the names of the people involved were not released.

A traffic stop in Punxsutawney Borough turned into drug possession charges.
Tuesday Punxsutawney State Police report they stopped 22 year old Brett Batley from Punxsutawney on Eureka Street for a traffic summary violation. According to troopers, they conducted a probabe-cause search for a controlled substance. Authorities say they found the substance with drug paraphernalia and suspected Batley to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Charges are pending.

State Police in Marienville are investigating an incident of harassment that happened at noon Tuesday.
Authorities say charges are pending against a 35 year old male and a 32 year old female, both from Sigel, Eldred Township, Jefferson County, who engaged in a verbal altercation which turned physical between the two.
The investigation is ongoing.

A couple of car accidents occurred in Young Township over the holiday.
According to the Punxsutawney Spirit, the first crash happened on Monday afternoon on Route 119 near Yates Road when an SUV was stopped and another approaching SUV failed to stop, hitting it from behind. Published reports say, all three Punxsutawney fire departs were deployed along with Jefferson County EMS and Punxsutawney State Police.
The Punxsutawney Spirit reports the other accident occurred yesterday around two pm, at the intersection of Snyder Hill Road, Alliance Drive and route 119 when two vehicles collided with each other at the intersection disabling one the vehicles.
