
ExploreClarion.com reports a caregiver for an elderly man arrived drunk at the Cranberry Township Police station on Saturday afternoon.
According State Police in Franklin, on Saturday afternoon an elderly man went to the police station in Cranberry Township, Venango County to report his caretaker was drunk and not taking care of him properly.
The elderly man’s caregiver stayed in the car while he and his driver were in the station’s lobby. State Police say the caregiver, 51-year-old Kimberley Hoffman of Franklin, was observed to be passed out in the vehicle.
A trooper attempted to get a preliminary breath test reading and she became agitated, and throw the PBT straw on the ground. Published reports say she left the vehicle and was walking toward US 322. At this time, troopers apprehended her for her own safety, according to police.
She was charged with non-traffic citations for public drunkenness and scattering rubbish through Magistrate District Court.
