A man from Brookville was charged with several violations after he tried to evade police.
Authorities say on January 5th around three in the morning, Brookville Police noticed a truck making a left from Litch Street onto Spruce Street in Brookville and drive into a ditch. According to Brookville Police, the driver went back on the roadway in the direction of the policeman. The police reports says the officer used his emergency warning lights and followed the truck while attempting to pull the driver over. But the driver did not stop until he reached his residence.
According to Brookville Police they apprehended and arrested 32 year old Matthew Mohney from Brookville and charged him with fleeing and eluding police, driving under the influence of alcohol and other summary charges. Other charges are pending lab results.
