A woman from Falls Creek was charged with a firearms violation that had occurred back in July of last year at a sporting goods store in Brookville.
Authorities say they were contacted by the State Police in Harrisburg of a potential firearms violation where a 60 year old woman from Falls Creek had attempted to purchase, deliver or transfer a firearm. According to police, when the store attempted to run a background check, it was denied for numerous reasons.
The Brookville Police have charged the woman with unsworn falsification to authorities and for violating the firearms act. Her name was not released.
