
A man from Punxsutawney was charged with simple assault and harassment.
State Police in Kittanning say the charges stem from an incident that had allegedly occurred on Wednesday around 9:30 p.m. along East main Street in Kittanning of Armstrong County.
According to authorities, they arrested 39 year old Storm Beer for allegedly hitting a 29 year old woman, also from Punxsutawney, multiple times in her face.
A preliminary hearing is set for January 29 while Beer remains in the Armstrong County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

A man from Clarion was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly hit a teenager in his face.
According to ExploreClarion.com, the Clarion Borough Police Department filed criminal charges based on a Clarion County CYS report of a domestic dispute against 39-year-old Eric Pastor from Clarion in District Judge Miller’s office.
According the published report, around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Clarion Borough Police Department assisted CYS regarding a domestic dispute and, based on the investigation, Pastor was arraigned at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday for two counts of simple assault and harassment.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 29 with Magisterial District Judge Quinn.

Snow is believed to be the cause of a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Punxsutawney Spirit, the accident happened on Route 36 near Route 536 in Young Township, Jefferson County when the driver lost control due to road conditions and rolled a truck into the yard of Jefferson County Sheriff Carl Gotwald.

Property was damaged when someone drove into a gate and a fence, then fled the scene.
State Police in DuBois say the incident occurred during the early morning hours on Saturday when someone, on Allens Mills Road near the intersection with Reitz Bottom Road in Warsaw Twp in Jefferson County, drove off the road and hit a gate and a fence. According to police, the person made it back onto the road way and left the scene.
About $500 in damage was done to the property. The driver of the car is unknown and anyone with information is asked to call the State Police in DuBois.
