
A car accident on Route 66 sent the driver to the hospital.
State Police in Clarion say the incident occurred this past Saturday on Route 66 in Clarion Township of Clarion County around 2:30 in the afternoon when 52 year old Terry Draa from Knox hit his breaks and lost control of his car. According to Troopers, Draa’s car crossed into the other lane and hit a culvert.
Draa was wearing his seat belt and was taken to Clarion Hospital for treatment of injuries. He was cited for driving too fast.

Brookville Borough Police say they found drugs during a traffic stop.
According to authorities, officers pulled a vehicle for a traffic violation on Allegheny Boulevard on Tuesday and found the driver a 53 year old man from Brookville was in possession of a small amount of Meth and other drug paraphernalia.
The man was arrested and taken into the Jefferson County jail. No other information was released.

A previous car accident on Route 219 contributed to another crash.
According to the State Police in Punxsutawney, the accident happened last night around 6 o’clock on the Mahaffey Grampian Highway Rout 219, in Bell Township of Clearfield County, when 37 year old Shawn McCully of Curwensville was going around a curve to find that a car, driven by 59 year old Shelly Rauckhorst from Grampian, was nearly stopped on the road due to a previous crash that was blocking the road. Police say McCully tried to stop, but rear ended Rouckhorst.
No injuries were reported and McCully was cited for not driving at a safe speed.

Charges are pending for a domestic argument that turned violent.
The State Police in DuBois say the incident happened on Chestnut Grove Highway in Bloom Township of Clearfield County on Tuesday just before midnight, when a verbal argument over personal issues became physical.
According to authorities, 47 year old Nicole Thomas from Grampion and 46 year old Jason Elliott from Sykesville were arrested and charges of domestic
harassment are pending through Magisterial Distinct Judge Pat Ford.

An icy patch was the cause of an accident on I-80.
According to the State Police in Dubois, the accident happened on Monday morning around 10 on Interstate 80 by the DuBois/Penfield Exit when 23 year old Michelle Couch from Easton hit an icy patch and lost control of her car causing it to overturn.
Couch was wearing her seat belt. Clearfield County EMS treated and released her at the scene.

The State Police in Clarion are investigating a theft that occurred during the beginning of the month.
Investigators say the incident happened on January 6 around 3:30 in the afternoon on Grey Lane in Clarion Twp of Clarion County when a 66 year old man and a 59 year old woman, both from Polk, reported over forty items valued more than $200 were missing from their shed.
Anyone with with information is asked to contact the State police in Clarion as the investigation continues.

The State Police in Clarion are investigating an attempted burglary believed to have occurred last week.
According to investigators, the incident occurred between Wednesday around 10 pm and Thursday around 6 am last week on 5th Ave in Clarion at a psychological service business.
Authorities say they found pry marks near a locked door. The investigation continues.
