
Pennsylvania State Police Investigated another fire, this one in Perry Township.
On Sunday around 4 pm the fire department responded to a call about a structure fire on Sprankle Mills Road. Authorities say 28 year old William Burket saw smoke coming from the inside of the house when he returned home. The investigation is classified as undetermined and the estimated damage is $200,000.
Police report no one was injured and the family has insurance.

This past Friday Punxsutawney State Police Criminal Investigation Unit conducted a welfare check.
According to investigators, when they arrived at a residence on Engle Drive in North Mahoning Township, Indiana County, they confirmed that 80 year old Richard Engle from Punxsutawney had died of natural causes. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Indiana County Coroner.

Bad weather conditions were part of the cause of several accidents last week.
According to authorities, 76 year old Fredrick Neiderritter from Shippenville was on Route 66 last Wednesday morning after 8 o’clock when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle due to the icy roadway. State Police in Clarion say, Neiderritter crossed into the other lane and hit a vehicle driven by 60 year old Jeffery Lander from Lucinda, then spun around before traveling up an embankment.
Both were wearing their seat belts and not injured. Neiderritter was charged with not driving at a safe speed.

Someone hit a mailbox post with a vehicle and drove off.
The State Police in Punxsutawney say the incident happened last Thursday afternoon around 1 when someone backed into a mailbox and garbage cans on Lunger Drive, Canoe Township in Indiana County.
