
On Monday the 24 year old man from Brockway, who was found guilty of arson was sentenced to state prison.
According to Gant-Daily, Steven Michael Rode, a former employee at Fayette Resources, was found guilty of setting four fires. The published report says Judge Paul Cherry commented that it was fortunate nothing more severe occurred. He called Rode “careless” and said he had exercised poor judgment. He sentenced him to a total of four to eight years in state prison.
He also ordered Rode to pay more than $7,400 in restitution.
