The Indiana County District Attorney clarified the penalty in the evidence tampering case against a Marion Center man.
According to the Indiana Gazette, 35 year old Thomas Askew pleaded guilty to a charge of tampering with evidence on Friday and was placed on probation for 12 months. The published report says there was an incorrect entry on the Indiana County Common Pleas Court Web site that had originally said Askew was in the ARD program.
Askew admitted to moving the motorcycle from the scene of a fatal accident that happened on August 4 along Route 119.
