Punxsutawney Phil is now on a water tower – in image only.
The Punxsutawney water storage tank has been modified. This morning at 10:30 Pennsylvania American Water played host to Punxsutawney Phil, members of the Groundhog Club and Inner Circle, as it marked the completion of the rehabilitation project.
The 300,000-gallon tank now has an extended life-span costing around $575,000, which included inspecting, sandblasting and repainting. Check it out tomorrow morning on Hillcrest Drive in Young Township, behind the Punxsutawney Area Hospital parking lot.
