Pennsylvania State Police based in Punxsutawney responded to a report of an inactive domestic around 2:30 this morning at a residence along Cloe Church Street in Bell Township of Jefferson County.
Police say a 19 year-old woman from Carlisle was allegedly hit in her face with a closed fist by her boyfriend, a 23 year-old man from Punxsutawney. The defendant was found inside the residence and arrested for simple assault and harassment, then transported to Penn Highlands DuBois for a mental health evaluation. He claimed his girlfriend was shoving and hitting him during the argument.
Summary harassment charges will be filed against her.
