The Jefferson County Commissioners have adopted a resolution imposing a 30-day outdoor burn ban starting tomorrow (08/27/20) at noon.
Open burning is defined as some combustible material like garbage, leaves, grass, twigs, and litter. Charcoal, propane and tobacco are permitted, as well as camp fires in a fire ring.
A person who violates this act is subject to fines.
