Marion Center and Indiana firefighters were dispatched at 1:05 this morning for a reported structure fire along Craig Road in Rayne Township.
Marion Center reports that a breaker box that powers a hot water boiler heating system had caught fire but thanks to quick action with a fire extinguisher by the owners of the two-story home, there was just a little extension to an interior wall.
Fire crews ventilated the home, checked to be sure there was no further extension, can cleared the scene in roughly two hours. Some Creekside firefighters also responded to assist, and Penelec was summoned as well.
