The Punxsutawney Spirit says 25 Punxsutawney Area High School students and one teacher were quarantined after contact with another student who tested positive for COVID-19 Monday.
Administrators say the student was in the high school building between Nov. 30 and Dec. 4. It’s believed the case is unrelated to any other positive COVID-19 tests the district reported. Some risk of exposure is still possible.
Administrators ask that parents and guardians monitor their children and inform their school and healthcare provider if they develop COVID-19 symptoms.
