The junior firefighter that was injured in Monday’s fire in Bell Township is okay.
She was taken by Jefferson County EMS to Punxsutawney Area Hospital where she was treated and released. Eight area fire companies responded to the structure fire at the Shadow Vineyard Winery, according to the Punxsutawney Spirit.
Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company was the lead company with three Punxsutawney Fire Department companies Central, Elk Run, and Lindsey. Jefferson County Fire Wire says they were assisted at the scene by Volunteers from McCalmont, Sykesville, Mahaffey, Rossiter, Clearfield, and Jefferson County EMS.
