Four more people have died due to COIVD-19 in Jefferson County. The county reported 20 new cases of coronavirus as of Dec. 29.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Jefferson County’s total case number has reached 1,832 and the death toll is now 40.
In the state, there are 8,545 additional positive cases of COVID-19 bringing the statewide total to 622,349.
There are 5,995 people hospitalized with COVID-19 and of those 1,174 are in intensive care.
