A Brockway woman pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter on Monday in connection with a woman’s fatal overdose.
According to GANT News, 28-year-old Catherine Quashnock was originally charged by DuBois city police with several felony offenses including drug delivery resulting in death.
An investigation began after a man and woman both suffered multi-drug overdoses and lost consciousness at a residence on South Franklin Street on May 1.
The woman died but the man survived. Authorities found the heroin they purchased from Quashnock was laced with fentanyl.
Quashnock was sentenced to 4 to 11 years in state prison and ordered to pay over $10,000 in restitution and fines.
