A house fire that displaced a family of five in Brookville on New Years Day which was previously ruled arson has now been ruled undetermined.
The fire occurred on Western Ave in Brookville Borough of Jefferson County just before 5 pm Jan. 1.
According to the Courier Express, PA State Police Fire Marshal said Thursday that he has since reviewed further information indicating that the fire could have been electrical and at this time it is ruled undetermined.
The victims were not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. But three dogs and two cats died in the fire.
