
State police released the details of a two-vehicle crash that seriously injured a Corsica woman.
State Police in Punxsutawney say the accident happened on State Route 949 on Jan 11 east of Monks Road in Union Township of Jefferson County.
Police say the 55-year-old Corsica woman traveled into the opposite lane while negotiating a curve in the road and her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Corsica man.
Police say multiple airbags were deployed in both vehicles. The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a landing zone where she was flown by Medevac to Altoona Regional Hospital. The man was transported to Penn Highlands Brookville for suspected minor injuries.
