Jefferson County is part of a broadband expansion effort.
According to the Punxsy Spirit, Pennsylvania will see a coordinated statewide effort to expand high-speed internet access due to a $600,000 grant made possible by legislative support in the Pennsylvania state House and Senate.
The North Central PA Regional Planning and Development Commission will use the grant money to expand the existing internet service area.
There will be at least one project in all six affected counties. Jefferson County’s will be on Desire Road.
