In an update of a story we had for you last week, the Clearfield man accused of being a major drug dealer that removed his ankle bracelet and disappeared last week has had his drug cases declared as a mistrial by Clearfield County President Judge.
According to GANT News, some issues came up with the jury panel, including an exposure to COVID-19, and another juror came across a GANT News article detailing the drug amounts Daniel Peteuil was found in possession of among other details.
Although the details in the article were public information the judge felt that the juror could not remain objective after reading it and it was likely others on the jury panel saw it as well.
Clearfield County authorities confirmed Peteuil is still missing as of Jan. 18.
Jury selection is set for Feb. 11
