Governor Tom Wolf is continuing his push for a higher minimum wage in Pennsylvania.
Governor Wolf says the pandemic has made raising the state’s minimum wage more important given that many of the jobs which have kept society going are done by minimum wage workers.
And despite what many say, Wolf believes businesses stand to benefit from an increase in the minimum wage. The governor is calling for increasing the state’s minimum wage to $12 an hour July 1st with 50 cent annual increases after that until it reaches $15 an hour on July 1st, 2027.
