
A 61-year-old Punxsutawney man is facing a DUI charge following a crash in Young Township of Jefferson County Monday. Troopers say the crash occurred on Altman Ave. near Snyder Hill Road when the driver lost control while turning and struck a tree stump, and the driver sustained injuries of unknown severity. During the crash investigation, Troopers found the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
A 58-year-old Rossiter man was arrested following a traffic stop in Bell Township of Jefferson County on Saturday. State Police in Punxsutawney say they stopped the vehicle on State Route 36 near Cloe Cherry Street for a moving violation and noted the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Police then took the man into custody for suspicion of DUI.

State police are investigating a report of an indecent assault in Rayne Township of Indiana County.
Troopers say an unidentified suspect had inappropriate communication and contact with a 16-year-old Marion Center girl at an undisclosed location between January 2018 and December 2020.
State Police are also investigating a report of a burglary that occurred in Plumville on Saturday. Troopers say a Home man reported that someone broke into his home along Harrison Ave and stole a Dremel tool valued at $45.

State Police in Punxsutawney filed criminal charges against two Ohio residents, identified as Kareem Rock and Kimari Jackson, who were reportedly caught transporting meth in Henderson Township of Jefferson County.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, police initiated a traffic stop on Feb. 6th on State Route 410 north of Pike Road after the vehicle was observed swerving across the center line among other violations.
Police discovered Rock had two active warrants from Ohio and detained him in the police patrol vehicle. Jackson was arrested for possession of marijuana.
The complaint notes the vehicle was then impounded due to signs of possible trafficking and a warrant was granted for a search of the vehicle. Police found over a pound of meth and other drug paraphernalia.
Preliminary hearings are set for Feb. 24th.

State Police issued an amber alert the you heard over air earlier this morning for 17-year-old Stephanie White who was located safely. She was reportedly abducted from North Towanda New York by 50-year-old Micheal Mesko. It is unclear whether or not Mesko has been apprehended.

Police say no injuries were reported in the first one-vehicle crash in South Mahoning Township of Indiana County on Sunday. Troopers say the driver slid a patch of ice on Sinktown Road, hit a pile of logs, and got stuck in the the snow north of Crooks Road.
Another report listed that a 21-year-old DuBois woman was injured following a crash in Chest Township on Saturday. Police say the crash occurred on State Route 36 near North Camp Road when the woman last control of the vehicle due to icy road conditions, the vehicle left the roadway and struck multiple trees before coming to a rest. She was transported to Conemaugh Hospital for suspected minor injuries. Mahaffey and Irvona Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
Another person was injured during a crash on U.S 322 in Pine Creek Township of Jefferson County on Monday. Police say the crash occurred when the driver, a 29-year-old Worthville woman lost control of the vehicle on the snow-and slush-covered roadway and struck an embankment. The driver was transported to Penn Highlands Brookville for suspected minor injuries. Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department and PennDOT assisted at the scene.
