
A 35-year-old Altoona man was taken to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for suspected minor injuries following a one-vehicle crash on State Route 36 Saturday.
Police say the crash occurred just south of Rainey Lane in Newburg Borough of Clearfield County when the driver lost control of a freightliner truck due to icy road conditions. The truck reportedly spun around, struck a section of the guide rail, and flipped over on its side over a bank.
Mahaffey Community Ambulance Service and Mahaffey Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Two teenagers suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash in Rayne Township of Indiana County on Sunday.
Police say the 18-year-old driver of Ernest and his 17-year-old passenger from home were traveling on Route 110 when the vehicle hit a guardrail, then an embankment, and flipped upside down coming to a final rest on the roof nearly 20 feet deep into a ravine near Grove Chapel Road.
Both occupants were transported to Indiana Regional Medical Center by Citizen’s Ambulance Service.

PennDOT has announced that Route 66 is currently closed in both directions from the intersection of Breniman Road to the intersection of Steiner Road in Paint Township of Clarion County due to an over sized load that brought down power lines and a pole across the roadway
