
Jefferson County reported three new cases of COVID-19 and one new death Thursday.
According to the PA Department of Health, Clearfield County reported 22 new cases and no new deaths while Indiana reported 12 new cases and one additional death.
The Punxsy Spirit says, a teacher at the Punxsutawney Elementary School recently tested positive and is under quarantine. The case was the first the district has reported positive since Feb. 10th.
In other covid-19 news, the Punxsutawney Area Hospital will hold a Phase 1a COVID-19 Vaccine Event tomorrow Feb. 20th at the Punxsutawney Area High School.
The Vaccine Program is operating on a first-come, first-serve basis. The school property/parking lot will be closed until 8 am. and the doors will open 8:30 am. People are asked to not park in non-parking areas or impede the flow of traffic on North Findley Street and surrounding streets.

The facility will open at 8:30 am, parking will be in the main lots of the school, and individuals are to enter through the auditorium. Individuals who are 65 and older are invited to come between 9:00 am and noon and other eligible individuals enter Phase 1a are invited to come from noon to 4 pm.
