A state lawmaker recently took to the House floor to raise awareness about a serious problem: Human trafficking.
Representative Wendi Thomas says Pennsylvania as a state and Pittsburgh as a city are both ranked 10th in the nation for human trafficking. Thomas says PA’s highway system makes it a prime location for human trafficking. She urges state residents to report suspected human trafficking to the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888.
