The state’s $500,000 Farm to School Grant Program is now open and accepting applications.
Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding says the Farm to School Grant Program encourages schools to develop curriculum for students in pre-K through the 5th grade.
Redding says the program provides an opportunity to introduce local agriculture to young students and can begin to create interest in a career in agriculture. Schools can receive grants of up to $15,000. The deadline to submit applications is March 30th.
