Jefferson County’s Bell Township supervisors have begun preparing road equipment for summer maintenance.
According to the Punxsy Spirit, Supervisors chair Jeff Kromer said they were busy repairing a rusted area on the grader and repainting it in an effort to get a few more years out of the equipment.
Kromer said they plowed and cindered township roads and repaired holes on School Road, Brown Bridge Road, Rock Run Road and Big Run Road. They also repaired a broken dump truck, plow, and other equipment.
Next month, Kromer said they will plow and cinder if needed; repair a few washouts that are starting on a few of the roads; and repair potholes, weather pending.
