A 61-year-old Rockton man accused of exchanging nude photos with a 14-year-old boy pleaded guilty in Clearfield County Court on Tuesday.
According to GANT News, David Wayne Kitchen was the subject of an investigation involving a juvenile who was exchanging both explicit videos and photos through social media. Kitchen was sentenced to nine months to two years less one day in the county jail plus five years consecutive probation for a felony count of child pornography and related charges. He was also ordered to complete sex offender counseling and must register with law enforcement under Megan’s Law even though he was not determined to be a sexually violent predator.
Kitchen reportedly used a fake online profile claiming to be a man from Pittsburgh in his 20’s to communicate with juvenile. They reportedly exchanged photos and videos for about a year starting in 2018. The victim reportedly told Kitchen’s false online persona that he was only 14 but he continued to request nude photos. When the account and messages were traced to Kitchen, he reportedly told investigators that he had been using the account to talk to men for several years.
