A number of Walston residents were in attendance at last week’s Young Township supervisors meeting to request assistance with a home that caught fire in November.
The Punxsy Spirit reports that the home has been in the same condition since the fire.
The home-owner, Doug Stello said he had to wait until the winter was over before any work could be done.
Supervisors chair Mike Defelice said the supervisors will do anything they can to help clean things up and they need to have something in writing from the Elk Run Volunteer Fire Company saying they they are willing to do a controlled burn.
The supervisors agreed to hold a meeting to further discuss the property on April 26 at 5 pm. At the township municipal building.
