Punxsutawney Borough Police filed child endangerment charges against two Punxsutawney residents after a small child was reportedly seen dangling out of a third-story window.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, 23-year-old Tana Wollow and 21-year-old Dakota Michael Norway were charged on May 12.
Police were dispatched to a residence on Jefferson Street on May 11 around 9:00 am for a report of a child on the roof. On scene, police called for assistance and attempted to enter the building to get to the child but found that an unknown person had reportedly reached out of the window and pulled the child back inside.
Police spoke with Wollow and Norway and Norway reportedly told police that he and Wollow were sleeping and woke up to yelling. He said he went into the children’s room and pulled the child back inside. Police then contacted CYS after reportedly seeing a chain-style deadbolt and a one-way door handle on the outside of the children’s bedroom.
Preliminary hearings are set for June 8.
