In local municipal elections, Punxsutawney Borough had eight candidates vying for four nominations on the Republican ballot for council seats.
ExploreJeffersonPA.com reports that Unofficial results show the four leaders to be Justin Cameron with 416 votes, Eric Story with 343 votes, Cynthia Rebuck with 286 votes, and Devon Luzell with 206 votes.
Behind those include Larry Chenoga with 203 votes, Crystal Wooten with 202, Daniel P. Gordon with 198, and Dan Rinker with 173.
Only three Democratic candidates including, Sharon A. Murray, Michele Boo Lorenzo, and Robert Cardamone, were on the ballot for four possible Democratic nominations, automatically moving on the general election in November.
