Brookville Borough Council took no action regarding an opportunity for grant funding for a possible dog park at its meeting Tuesday – mostly due to the the lack of a feasible location.
The Punxsy Spirit reports that council has discussed building a dog park for some time and the borough office’s research did find a grant opportunity.
However, public works director Jonathan Rhoades noted that Memorial Park, which had been considered before was likely to small while Northside Park could have potential but council members noted the need for caution due to the park’s proximity to a school and residential area.
In the end, no council members expressed that they wanted to continue with the research.
