
The Appalachian Wagon Train is coming back to Jefferson County from June 20 through 26.
According to the Punxsy Spirit, this marks the third time the wagon train group has set up along Richardsville Road in Polk Township and traveled through the area.
The wagon train features horse and mule-drawn wagons and signifies marks the days when pioneers traveled through Western Pennsylvania in the 19th century.

The Punxsutawney Rotary Club’s 100th year celebration at Gobblers Knob is coming up on June 16.
Rotary member Katie Laska says all are invited to attend.

The Hazelet Cemetery Association will have a cleanup day for the cemetery on Saturday starting at 8 am.
The cemetery is near Pioneer Lake Road and Hazelet Church Road in Indiana County near Hillsdale and Cherry Tree.

Veteran Centers across the state offer a wide range of free and confidential counseling services to eligible veterans and their families as well as outreach.
Representatives with the DuBois Veteran Center will be offering outreach at some upcoming events in DuBois and Punxsutawney.
Veteran Outreach Program Specialist David Grey says he will be at the DuBois Community Days on Friday and Saturday as well as the Festival in the Park in Punxsutawney at Barclay Square.
