
State Police are investigating an incident of suspected drug-related DUI that occurred in Punxsutawney Borough on Sunday.
Police say a 33-year-old Punxsutawney woman was stopped along Elk run Ave for a lighting violation just before midnight. Troopers say she appeared to be under the influence of drugs, conducted a battery of field sobriety tests and submitted the woman to a Drug Recognition Expert Evaluation.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.

A 16-year-old Reynoldsville girl was injured in a one-vehicle crash that happened in Huston Township of Clearfield County on Sunday.
State Police in DuBois say the crash occurred around 8:20 pm along Bennetts Valley near Parish Road. Troopers say the vehicle was traveling at high rate of speed, attempted to pass a truck in a no-passing zone, started to fishtail, ran off the road and struck a utility pole. Police say the impact with the pole caused the vehicle to split into two pieces.
Authorities say the girl was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment of unknown injuries.

State Police in Marienville are investigating a incident of theft by deception that occurred in Farmington Township of Clarion County on June 7.
Troopers say a 75-year-old Leeper woman was scammed out of $2,000 in gift cards by and unknown suspect claiming to be a Verizon representative over the phone.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.

State Police say two were seriously injured following a crash in Glen Campbell Borough of Indiana County on Saturday.
Troopers say the crash occurred around 5:40 pm on State Route 286 at its intersection with First Ave when a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Edward Miloser of Glen Campbell attempted to enter State Route 286 from First Avenue and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. His vehicle was then struck by another vehicle driven by 20-year-old Elizabeth Parkhurst of Mahaffey.
60-year-old Diane Miloser of Glen Campbell, a passenger in Edward Miloser’s vehicle, sustained suspected serious injuries and was flown to Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown by medical helicopter.
Police say Parkhurst was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital and later transferred to Altoona Hospital for treatment of suspected serious injuries.
