Punxsutawney Borough Council did not vote to rezone several properties along West Mahoning Street to Highway Commercial for a proposed Arby’s Restaurant at Monday’s meeting.
According to the Punxsy Spirit, council president, Michelle Lorenzo asked for members of council to make a motion to rezone the West Mahoning Street lots from Traditional Neighborhood Development to Highway Commercial so they could hold a roll call vote of the council members but no motion was made.
Lorenzo said the lack of a motion let alone a vote showed that the the decision to not rezone was the right one.
Pittsburgh Developer Milo Ritten or any of his representative were not in attendance at the council meeting.
