A one-year-old Smicksburg child was found safe following a kidnapping on Thursday.
State Police in Punxsutawney say the one-year-old girl was reported missing around 1:25 pm from a home along Coolspring Road in North Mahoning Township of Indiana County. Troopers say the child was found 1.5 miles east of her address laying in the roadway uninjured.
Authorities say the father of the child had noticed a teal blue vehicle drive past his home several times on Thursday and shortly after the last time he saw the vehicle drove by he heard reportedly his daughter screaming. The family was unable to find the child for after searching for 45 minutes.
Police say the only other details the father could provide about the vehicle was that there were two people inside – one of them female.
