State Police in Punxsutawney say a 34-year-old Emporium man was arrested following a traffic Stop in Winslow Township of Jefferson County on Sunday.
Police stopped the vehicle around 1:20 am. on Stevenson Hill Road near Reynoldsville Falls Creek Road for a traffic violation.
Troopers say the driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, was found to be in possession of drugs and related paraphernalia. Police say the man was also suspected of driving under the influence.
Police say charges are pending.

Indiana, Clymer, and Creekside fire crews responded to a house fire along Virginia Avenue in Indiana that displaced a family of four and their pets on Monday.
According to the Indiana Gazette fire crews and police responded to the scene around 4:40 pm and worked to extinguish flames centered in the second floor and the attic.
While an investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing some speculate that lightning struck the attic as a thunderstorm was making its way through the area at the time.
No injuries were reported.

State Police in Punxsutawney investigated a reported dog attack in Henderson Township of Jefferson County on Sunday.
Troopers say dogs belonging to a 19-year-old Sump Creek man got loose from his home along Kramer Road just after 3:00 pm and ran to another residence and attacked another dog.
Charges are pending.

State Police in Indiana are investigating and Indiana man for suspected meth manufacture at an apartment along East Pike Road in White Township of Indiana County.
According to WCCSRadio.com, troopers responded to the residence around 8:00 am Tuesday for a report of suspected meth manufacture.
A search reportedly turned up several items related to meth manufacturing including three “one-pot” labs and an acid generator.
Charges against the 47-year-old unnamed suspect are pending further investigation.
